Official Rust servers

Official servers are run by Facepunch or an approved partner network. Everything else is community, which is a separate tag in our data. The practical differences are who holds admin powers, how predictable the wipes are, and how long the queue gets.

Nearly all of them carry the vanilla tag, and gather rates left unstated usually mean 1x. A few list themselves as modded, which you can see in the tags on each row. Official describes who runs the server, not whether it has been changed.

These servers are the first ones most players see in the in-game browser, and regulars plan around the wipe time. Several run hundreds of slots and still fill on wipe day. Joining within the first minutes of the server coming back up is the reliable way in, or pick a partner server with the same wipe day and a shorter queue.

Facepunch's force wipe hits every map on the first Thursday of the month at 19:00 UK time. Partner servers set their own cycles on top of that, usually weekly or fortnightly. The Next wipe column shows our estimate from each server's past behaviour, which is more useful than the published schedule where the two differ.
