Wipe heat · when Rust servers wipe

Rust wipe schedule

from 37,544 wipes over the last 4 weeks

Every public Rust server wipes at the monthly force wipe, and many wipe again on their own day and hour. Rust Heatmap records those wipes from the servers themselves and refreshes the counts every five minutes. The heatmap below shows when they actually happen, by day and by hour, so you can pick a fresh start or stay clear of one.

The hottest cell is 3,054 wipes in one hour, Thursday 18:00 UTC, under the crosshair. The scale runs from 0 to 417, the 95th percentile of the hours that saw a wipe; the 9 hours above it saturate white, as a camera does over its span. The All row is every day of the week together, on its own span to 1,964.

Restarts are left out: a new map less than six hours after the last counts as the same wipe. Times are UTC: UK time is the same in winter and an hour ahead in summer; US East is five hours behind in winter and four in summer.

Questions

Q01When is the next Rust force wipe?

Force wipe falls on the first Thursday of each month, when Facepunch releases the game update, at 19:00 UK time. Every server wipes its map at that point, whatever its own rhythm. The force wipe countdown shows the time remaining to the next one.

Q02How often do Rust servers wipe?

Most servers run a weekly or biweekly wipe, and a smaller group wipes monthly at the force wipe only. The counts on this page come from the wipes Rust Heatmap has recorded, so they change as servers change their settings. The server list lists each server's wipe rhythm where it publishes one.

Q03Which day has the most wipes?

Across all recorded wipes, Thursday is currently the busiest wipe day. Wipe times cluster in the evening of the server's home region, when most of its players are online. The by-hour heatmap above shows where that activity sits in UTC.
